WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

The empowerment & autonomy of women and the enhancement of their social, health, political, and economic conditions is an extremely vital end in itself. It is the framework for the achievement of sustainable development. The power equations that obstruct women’s realization of healthy and fulfilling lives function across different levels of society, from very personal to the highly public. Accomplishing transformation needs policy and programme initiatives that would enhance women’s access to secure livelihoods & economic resources, lessen their extreme responsibilities with regard to housework, eradicate legal obstacles to their participation in public life, and increase social awareness through effective programmes of education and mass communication.

We are targeting to start self help group making for women empowerment. We are in discussion with Lijjat. They have done training programme for the women and planning to start the centre on high priority basis. We are in discussion with other manufacturing units.

A team of (ALEAP) Association of lady entrepreneurs of india visited Paharpur and Rairangpur to explore the various possibilities for women engagement and empowerment. Visited our SLS Trust campus and are looking forward to start the activity there very soon .

Mushroom Cultivation

Mushroom cultivation has emerged as a viable and sustainable means of livelihood for many, particularly in rural and tribal areas. For women in these communities, mushroom farming not only provides a source of income but also fosters empowerment and socio-economic development. This write-up explores how mushroom planting can be a catalyst for women empowerment among tribal populations.

Mushroom cultivation offers a significant source of income with relatively low investment. Women can start small-scale mushroom farms with minimal resources and gradually expand their operations, ensuring a steady flow of revenue.

Beyond farming techniques, we teach them business management skills such as bookkeeping, marketing, and supply chain management. This comprehensive approach equips women with the necessary skills to run their businesses successfully.
